13-year-old Rodrigo is a solitary teenager who finds solace in his intimate relationship with his mother, Valeria. She is his best friend, his protector, and his entire world. When her new boyfriend comes to live in their small house on the outskirts of Mexico City, however, Rodrigo finds his domain completely disrupted. He must decide if he should accept his new family or fight back and hurt the person he loves the most.

Born in Mexico City in 1987, he graduated from the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica (CCC) with Cum Laude honors for his thesis project Australia (2016), nominated for Best Short Film at the Mexican Academy Ariel Awards. His other short films Paradisio and Naeapolitan Arrangement have been screened at festivals such as Raindance, Morelia, La Habana and Cannes. He wrote and directed We All Want to Sleep, one of the short films included in the feature omnibus film La danza de las fieras (The Dance of the Beasts, 2017). Twice a FONCA young talent grant holder for script writing. He co-directed the documentary Bad Hombres; Summer White is his first fiction feature.
