In a night in May, seven years ago, Rafael was arriving home from work. When he was opening the gate, someone called his name. He looked back and saw people he didn't know. Rafael left his house carried by the unknown people and never came back. Since then he lives as if that night has never ended.

Affonso Uchoa is a filmmaker based in Contagem, Brazil. He directed A Vinzinhança Do TigreI (The Hidden Tiger, 2014), screened in the Hamburg Filmfest and shown at the Cinematheque Française, Barbican Centre and Anthology Film Archive. He is the co-director of Arábia (Araby, 2017), premiered at Tiger’s Competition in Rotterdam IFF and awarded in Indielisboa, Golden Apricot, BAFICI and Brasília.

Rafael dos Santos Rocha was born in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. He's the main character and also screenwriter of Seven Years in May (Sete Anos em Maio, Affonso Uchôa, 2019), shown at festivals around 24 countries, receiving more than 20 prizes. Rafael is part of the team of the projects Terra Gasta and Miguel Burnier (both projects belong to João Dumans and are in production phase).

João Dumans

Screenplay

João Dumans is a screenwriter and director based in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. His first feature Araby (2017), co-directed with Affonso Uchoa, was shown and awarded in numerous festivals around the world. He worked as an editor and screenwriter for films like The Hidden Tiger (2014), Seven Years in May (Sete Anos em Maio, 2019), Where I grow old (2016), The Sleepwalkers (2018), The Residents (2010) and Joaquim (2017).
