Buvette de clôture de l'édition 2020

New this year! The show La Buvette du FCVQ presented at Le Diamant in Quebec City and broadcasted every evening from 6:30 p.m. In this relaxed and pop moment, our host Marième Ndiaye receives artists and craftmakers that are part of our 2020 program.

Tonight, Marième receive two members from the QCFF jury. Two eras, two jurys - both will talk of their experience and their current projects. Marie Gignac, a theater woman well anchored in the artistic environment of Quebec City and the artistic director of the Carrefour International de Théâtre de Québec was part of out Feature Film Jury in 2017. She is accompanied by Vincent Biron, artist with many talents, director, cinematographer, illustrator and comic books writer, member of the Short Feature Jury this year.

In addition, the Pianorama, acclaimed last year on the Place d'Youville, is back in the Buvette! The masterful Alexandre Racine improvises on old films, different each evening, to offer us a musical interlude.

Marième Ndiaye

Vincent Biron

Since 2010, Vincent Biron has directed 5 short films, including Toronto International Film Festival winner Little Flowers, and A delusion of grandeur, selected in multiple festivals across the world. In 2016, his debut feature Prank is selected in the Venice Festival Critic’s Week. He follows up in 2019 with Les Barbares de la Malbaie, released in 30 theatres across Quebec. In addition to his work as a director, Vincent collaborates as cinematographer with many directors such as Denis Côté and Matthew Rankin.

Marie Gignac
