Born in 1970, Laurent Crouzeix joined the team of the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival in 1995 after studying Literature and Translation at Université Blaise Pascal (Clermont-Ferrand) and Goldsmiths College (London). In charge of international development, Laurent was also main programmer for the International Competition (1998-2017) and curated several major retrospectives. Laurent created Euro Connection coproduction forum taking place each year during the International Short Film Market, since 2009. Laurent acquired training as a filmmaker through continuing education at La fémis (2009) and Les Gobelins (Storyboard & Stop Motion Animation, 2017). Together with Chilean director Luis Briceño, he wrote and directed his debut stop motion short Amerigo and The New World. He is currently developing a story in live action, and a hybrid project.
