Paul Barbeau is a self-taught producer who founded with only $100 the music videos production company Nufilms, who became one of the most active production company in the 2000's. He produced a dozen of short films for many directors, such as Le Rouge au Sol by Maxime Giroux. Right after, Paul produced Maxime Giroux, Ivan Grbovic, Sébastien Rose and Micheline Lanctôt's feature films. He continued to earn a living by producing some Americain films, such as The Lodge and Pieces of a Woman. But he produced independently, without any grant, his three films as screenwriter and director, including Après la neige (2011), who had its world premiere at Shangai International Film Festival, and À nous l'éternité, who had its world premiere at Mannheim-Heidelberg FIlm Festival in 2018.
We Had it Coming (Everest) is his first English film, which had its world premiere at Prague International Film Festival in mid-september 2020.
